Full Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be on time & ready to work.
  • Must be
  • Tig, Mig & Stick welding of Steel, Aluminum and Stainless Steel
  • Work on welding/fabrication projects in the shop and in the field.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to plan work and fabrication layout.
  • Performs hand grinding and polishing, prepare metals.
  • Exceeds quality standards.
  • Heating - Oxygen/Heating Torch
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be on time & ready to work.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be dependable, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Able to work alone or with others on projects.
  • Has attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
  • One to two years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Can fluently read a tape measure.
  • Has a good understanding of/ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Ability to lead a team and assist the Shop Foreman.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Basic knowledge of types of steel, stainless steel, aluminum and galvanized.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:

  • Frequently required to stand.
  • Frequently required to walk.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information.
  • Frequently required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 lbs and more than 50 lbs.
  • Frequently work in high, precarious places.
  • Frequently loud noises (examples: metal can manufacturer, large earth moving equip)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
