According to multiple HHA HBA Builder members, the Town of Hilton Head Building Department is cracking down on a long standing Residential Building Commission stipulation that requires all Residential Specialty tradesmen performing work over $5,000 to be bonded. If you are a Residential Specialty tradesmen, please verify your bond status if you plan to do work over $5,000. If you are a Residential Builder, please verify with your subcontractors that they are in fact bonded.
