According to multiple HHA HBA Builder members, the Town of Hilton Head Building Department is cracking down on a long standing Residential Building Commission stipulation that requires all Residential Specialty tradesmen performing work over $5,000 to be bonded. If you are a Residential Specialty tradesmen, please verify your bond status if you plan to do work over $5,000. If you are a Residential Builder, please verify with your subcontractors that they are in fact bonded. A certificate completed by an LLR approved elevator inspector will be required in order to pass CO. To find a list of currently approved LLR Elevator Inspectors, please visit the LLR website.

Home Builders Honor Members of the Year

Members of the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association (HBA) joined together Wednesday, December 16 at the Palmetto Hall Golf Club on Hilton Head for their annual installation and awards luncheon where the 2016 officers and directors were installed and awards were presented to the Builder and Associate Members of the Year.  This honor is presented each year to individuals representing the organization’s builder and associate membership, for their outstanding dedication and contributions to the HBA, the community and the building industry.

Home Builders Honor Premier Builder of the Year

Members of the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association (HBA) joined together Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island for the Sixteenth Annual LightHouse Awards Gala where they continued their tradition of honoring the area’s top Builders for their quality craftsmanship and design excellence. Another tradition honored by the HBA was the announcement of the 2015 Premier Builder of the Year.

Home Builders Honor Premier Builder of the Year

On Wednesday, December 17, at its annual installation and awards luncheon, Executive Officer to the Home Builders Association of South Carolina Mark Nix installed the 2015 Board of Directors and Officers of the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association (HBA). Heading the organization as President is Brian Esposito of Esposito Construction, Inc., whose company specializes in custom home building and remodeling, as well as light commercial construction. Esposito has been a member of the Association for nearly 10 years serving as an officer to the association’s Board of Directors since 2012 and a board member since 2009.

2015 Board Installation Release

Columbia, SC – Home building industry professionals were awarded the Home Builders Association of South Carolina’s most prestigious awards in Asheville, N.C. The twelfth annual Celebration of Excellence awards ceremony was held to honor the recipients of the Pinnacle Awards. The Pinnacle Awards recognize the craftsmanship of the best home builders and remodelers in the Palmetto State. Seventeen Pinnacle Awards were given in five categories – new home construction, remodel projects, energy efficiency, subdivision/community and sales & marketing. The Pinnacle Award winners will be highlighted in the upcoming S.C. Builder Journal and presented on the S.C. Department of Commerce and the S.C. Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism websites to emphasize the craftsmanship and quality of S.C. residential builders.
